Practise until it sticks

Choose a topic, a skill or a difficulty. Calculation exercises have new versions with fresh numbers once you have solved them, so you can practise the method rather than memorise an answer.

Steps to a frequency table

Not started

Put the steps for building a frequency table with relative and cumulative frequencies of an ordered variable in the right order.

Put the steps in order (use the arrows)

  1. 1Count how many observations take each value (the frequencies)
  2. 2List every possible value or category, in its natural order
  3. 3Check that the frequencies add up to the number of observations n
  4. 4Add the frequencies down the table to get the cumulative frequencies
  5. 5Divide each frequency by n to get the relative frequencies
