Accessibility Statement
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA for the parts of Typing Quest where those guidelines apply.
What we support
- Full keyboard navigation with visible focus indicators.
- Screen-reader labels for controls, charts with text alternatives, and live progress announcements during exercises.
- Light and dark themes with text contrast designed to meet AA.
- Reduced motion: we follow your system setting, and you can reduce animations in Settings.
- Adjustable text size for exercises, and right-to-left layouts for Arabic.
Known limitations
- Typing exercises are, by nature, about keyboard input. Results from assistive input methods may differ from standard keyboards; we never penalise them, but some (such as text inserted in bulk) cannot qualify for leaderboards or proficiency certificates.
- Typing games use time limits. Lessons and practice modes are available without time pressure.
We have not yet had an independent accessibility audit. If something doesn't work for you, please tell us through "Help and support" at the bottom of every page — we treat accessibility issues as bugs.
